(Photo by (Photo by \u00a9 Wikipedia\/ Xchgall)<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"b-article__lead\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Russian state arms exporter delivered to other states more than 800 Mi-17 helicopters in 2006-2016.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s state arms exporter Rosoboronexport delivered to\u00a0other states more than\u00a0800 Mi-17 helicopters in\u00a02006-2016, the company said in\u00a0a statement on\u00a0Monday, adding that deliveries of\u00a0the Russia-made model surpassed export of\u00a0its foreign analogues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"marker-quote1\">&#8220;Russian Mi-17 helicopters maintained leadership in\u00a0the volume of\u00a0supplies of\u00a0the medium multirole and military transport helicopters to\u00a0the world market in\u00a02006-2016. The volume of\u00a0their export has exceeded the total number of\u00a0deliveries of [Mi-17] foreign analogues, and amounted to\u00a0more than\u00a0800 units,&#8221; the statement read.<\/p>\n<p>Mi-8\/17 military transport helicopters are the most successful models in\u00a0the history of\u00a0the Russian helicopter industry, according to\u00a0the Russian Helicopters holding. They are manufactured in\u00a0a variety of\u00a0forms, including cargo, passenger, VIP, search and rescue, flying hospital and firefighting versions.
